What am I doing here?
In this channel, I will stream games and upload pre-recorded gameplay to present the pure gaming experience of some (in my opinion) interesting titles. No commentary, no unnecessary lollygagging, no skipped cutscenes. Videos and streams will usually be my first-time experience (so expect stupid deaths or getting lost in the interface) or my first attempts or playthroughs after many years. However, regardless my proficiency in a particular game, I always choose the highest possible difficulty in the game (if it is available from the very beginning) to present the peculiar process of learning game mechanics on the spot:)
I usually do not use a camera or a microphone, yet I am always eager to chat with the viewers. I stream mostly for myself because it helps me actually finish some games and organize my pile of shame. I do not use any of standard streaming elements like overlays etc. so that I stick to the name of the channel :) I want to present PURE gameplay on hard for the small viewers niche out there and for the immersion.
I used to be a very careless gamer, I would usually rush through a game just to complete it for the very sake of it. I was never interested in the story whatsoever. It changed a year or two ago into the other extreme of gaming: I became a completionist. Streaming helps me keep that habit alive. Although I have finished many titles and know a lot of games (on MANY platforms), I started revisiting some of them to give them proper credit.
Future plans and games
In 2020, I intend to make some changes in my streams. While the general form of those streams will stay the same, I want to stream on a more regular basis and complete more games. Most probably, I will do the achievement/100% completion runs off-stream and move to streaming another game.
Speaking of games, here is the list of games I really want to complete while streaming them on Dlive:
Witcher 2, on PC
Witcher 3, on PC
Kingdom Come Deliverance, on PC
Assassin's Creed games on various platforms (from the first game to Odyssey, excluding Origins)
Dark souls, on PC
Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance, on PS2
Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance II, on Xbox
A retro game here and there, on my RetroFreak console
...and many more, the list depends on my mood and schedule. I usually play several titles at the same time, on various platforms. Sometimes, I just record games instead of streaming them, just for the sake of uploading my playthroughs.
Consoles and stuff I own
I finally managed to switch from old recorders and streaming devices (old Avermedia Game Capture HD and Hauppauge PVR) to Avermedia 4k LGP Plus. Thanks to that purchase, I can finally play newer games (I want to stream and record them at the same time, which has been too much for my gaming PC in some cases). I can finally seamlessly stream the footage from all my consoles, in HD or full HD! (Thanks to an upscaler with all the inputs I need to convert the signals to HDMI).
So far, I have added the following to my collection:
PSP - softmodded, which means I can make some tweaks, use "backup" copies of games and even stream the video directly to the PC through a USB port!
PS2 - I have some great titles for this platform and will try to play them all!
Xbox - the first console in the series; softmodded
Nintendo Wii - softmodded as well, so I might stream some N64 and Gamecube games
Xbox 360 - the first console that I bought (surprisingly)
Amiga 600 - the gem from my childhood! So many great games on this system; I also modified it, so that it has a USB port instead of the floppy disk drive, so I can use any .adf files I want :D
RetroFreak - a wonderful piece of hardware straight from Japan! It is compatible with cartridges from many retro systems, from NES to GBA, as well as emulates rom files!
Things I would love to add to the collection:
a current gen console (Xbox One X, PS4, Nintendo Switch)
a retro machine based on a Raspberry 3 b+ microcomputer,
a Pegasus - an Eastern European clone of the Famicom console; basically it's the Eastern European NES,
PS3 - to play the exclusive titles,
an Atari 2600
and... the Ataribox console, once it is finally released
